Blocked Nose

My 5 year old son has this thing.. whenever it’s summers and air conditioners are on, his nose gets blocked. Even if he is warm and in a blanket. Neither me nor my husband or our other kid have it even if we r all in the same room. But he always ends up with a blocked nose and keeps waking up because of it. Please recommend what we should do?

Dear Patient,

Here are a few things you can do:
1: Purchase and put two drops of Norsaline nasal drops in both nostrils of the child after every few hours, especially before bedtime.
2: Use a slightly propped up pillow for your child, one thick and soft one should be enough.
3: Give your child steam for 15 minutes twice a day, preferably with vicks and in the room where he sleeps or a small room. direct heat is not needed.
4. Buy and use a humidifier at night to keep the room air moist and ensure sound sleep.
