Breast Problem

AoA. I want to discuss my breast problem. There was an increase in my prolactin level it was 141.due to which I have milky nipple discharge. I went to a gynecologist she suggested me a tablet 'brotin'. She said to take it for 4 months. I took that medicine for 4 months. Now, my prolactin level is normal but I still have a pain in my one breast & there is a watery discharge from one breast. I'm really worried about it. Please give me suggestion what I have to do now?

Dear Patient,

I'm sorry to hear that. It may be possible that there's residual milk in your ducts causing this issue, you just need to do hot compresses of your breast and let the remaining milk discharge. Follow-up with your endocrinologist about this though, they may advise you to take your medicine for a little while longer or give you an anti-inflammatory medicine to help reduce pain and discomfort.
