Breathing Problem

My sister is facing a breathing problem in Ramzan. There is an urge for deep breathing after every minute but she is not able to take breathe. What is the reason? the doctor suggested that in Ramzan it is due to stomach acidity she was taking the medicines but in this Ramzan, the medicines are also not working should she continue to take medicines or not?
