Burning Pain in Finger

Asked for Female, 35 years

5 days back I accidently cut my finger while chopping meat by knife. Now I am having burning pain in the finger. What should I do ? Is it serious or it will resolve by itself? I have applied haldi on my finger. Thanks in advance

Dear Patient,

The first step to take for a cut is to make sure there are no foreign bodies in your injury. Then you must wash or dip your finger in ice cold water for 20mins. Then you apply gentle but firm pressure using clean cloth or gauze and elevate the injured hand above your heart level. Once bleeding has stopped you can clean with Dettol and apply polyfax and cover with bandaid. Haldi may have introduced bacteria to your wound n the pain may be due to the cut being near a nerve. Plz show a specialist.
