Chest Congestion

My 5 months old baby is suffering from cold. He has severe chest congestion. His Dr prescribed him Rigix 1/2 tea spoon at bedtime. But I think it is not suiting him. He throws up after half an hour due to its bitter taste. Can I change it with some other anti-allergy syrup? Maybe Phenergan? If yes, then how much dosage? I am already nebulizing him with normal saline water twice a day and putting Norsaline P drops/spray before every feed. Also, pumping the mucus out from his nose.

Dear Patient,

I'm sorry to hear that. Give syrup Zyrtec 1/2tsp instead. It has a sweet taste and kids like it. Continue nebulizing but to 2cc normal saline add half ampoule of clenil A to get the congestion out. Continue doing the rest. Make sure his head is propped up well when taking feed. See correct technique on breastfeeding video available online.
