Colored Discharge

I am Allhamdullillah 8 weeks pregnant but today and last Thursday I had very dark brown (coffee colored) discharge with no abdominal pain and cramps but yes a little backache I guess that is normal due to prolonged sitting hours at the office, traveling, and epidural in my first pregnancy ... What could be the reason for it ..is there something I should be worried about or it is normal ...Please help and guide

Dear Patient,

Yes it may be something concerning. I would recommend taking some days off and resting and monitoring if you have more blood flow. If it stops and was an isolated episode it may be due to the baby being implanted in uterus. But if its more it could be due to a risk to your pregnancy. Kindly meet a gynecologist to be sure if discharge continues and take rest and plenty fluits. Try raising your legs when possible.
