Concieving problem

Asked for Female, 34 years

I am trying to conceive again. I already have a 3 year old daughter. I developed anxiety during pregnancy which continued after too. I take meds. My doctor has now decided to taper off clonazepam while he will continue sertraline which he says is safest for pregnancy. Should I really try to conceive or continue these medicines? I am so scared of a relapse and withdrawal effects. I need good suggestions please.

Dear Patient,

According to research clonazepam is safe during pregnancy and has no withdrawal in child after delivery. I have attached the references here below. According to mayo clinic SSRI including sertraline dont have risk of damage to baby, they may cause side effects like premature birth, PPH or low birth weight in SOME people.

You can discuss this information with your gynecologist and discuss about conceiving again. All in all given your health these seem like a good option
