Constipation

My baby weighs about 10 Kg. Due to some skin issues he suffers from Constipation and faces problem urinating. He doesn't eat or drink much and I give him Duphalac syrup for constipation since a year now. The results are not positive. My question is can we use LAXOBERON syrup instead of Duphalac and if Yes, for how many days can we use it? Are there any side effects of using this syrup regularly?

Dear Patient,

I’m so sorry to hear that. I would recommend you to continue using duphalac syrup along With benefiber. This is not available locally but can be purchased abroad. Give 1 tbsp per day and you will notice a drastic difference. Avoid giving binding foods. Give foods that can loosen stool. Make sure your child has lots of water. Hope this helps. If this doesn't work, consider seeing a specialist.
