Cough and Vomit

My daughter is 3.5 years old and for the last 3-4 days, as soon as she goes to sleep she starts coughing. It goes on for about 45 mins to an hour and then she vomits (mucus). I took her to her regular pediatrician, there is no infection or any sign of viral. According to him, it’s just some allergic reaction, not exactly able to pinpoint what’s causing it. He prescribed a couple of medicines to increase her immunity and for cough. Please help!

Which medications did he recommend? Have you considered giving her steam or nebulizing before bed? Put norsaline nasal drops in each nose before bed and keep a humidifier in her room. Avoid cold, sour and fried foods.
