Dialysis Suggestion

My friend has a creatinine level of 8.3 due to the high blood pressure problem. He is 28 years old only. The doctor suggested him to dialysis. What should he do now? Pls, give me some helpful idea.

Dear Patient,

Blood pressure needs to be controlled and the creatinine level past 6 is a consideration for dialysis. However, given his young age and my lack of expertise in this regard, I would strongly advise you to take a second opinion from a good nephrologist. If your friend's health is deteriorating and the doctor advises dialysis then go for it. God willing once he's stable he won't need more cycles of dialysis.
