Dog Vaccination

Few days ago, a pet dog bit me. Post that I took the complete course of anti-rabies vaccination. Now just about yesterday, my pet cat bit me. I wanted doctors opinion that should I be getting the vaccination again considering I got the whole course done in recently? I’m a month post-partum and a nursing mother.

Dear Patient,

If you have received the 4-5 injections of rabies vaccines then you are covered for a yr. you will need a booster at the end of the year and then one again every 3-5yrs.
Makes sure to get all your pets vaccinated.
For future, when bitten or scratched by animals make sure to wash your wound for at least 5mins with running water and antibacterial soap, and apply mycitracin/polyfax ointment lavishly. This should be sufficient.
