Excessive Saliva

My daughter got so much saliva out of her mouth when she talk... what should i do.. or what kind of disorder is this? She is only 5 years old. Saliva can bee seen on the corners of her lips while she talks

Dear Patient,

Saliva can be in excess due to excess production or decreased absorption.
Initially try giving your child sips of water after every 30-60mins to help saliva flow down. Also teach your daughter to collect her saliva using her tongue and swallow. Sometimes kids forget.
