Fever and Loose Motion

Its urgent.. My baby is 1.5 years old.. She is suffering from fever and loose motion.. I went to a doctor he gave nowcef syrup for it.. I m confused if its suitable for her or not because the paper inside IT SAYS indications are uti or bronchitis.

Dear Patient,

Neocef or any other antibiotic isn't given immediately no matter how severe the motions. Normally they are viral. We manage kids with panadol or brufen for fever along with sponging and baths. For motions we give soft homecooked foods like sagoodana, cooked apples, khichri, yogurt, bananas along with Enterogermina half bottle twice a day for 5-10 days. You can even give 2.5ml ZincatOD syrup for 10days. If this doesn't improve the symptoms in at least 7days then we give syrup Novidat. But first, these remedies are given with ORS. See a specialist if health worsens, but this is enough
