Fever during Pregnancy

I am 9 weeks pregnant with my second baby. My first baby is 11 months old and she is breast feeding. My left breast is really very hard and it hurts. I am also having fever. Last night I took Panadol. My question is what should I do to ease the pain and fever as I am pregnant? Can I take Panadol 3 times in a day? I am going to travel almost 10 hours in a few days. Is it safe to travel in 9 weeks?

Dear Patient,

Frequent walking every two hrs with circular movements of all joints and sips of water are recommended on long routes.
If you have a fever along with hard breasts you probably have an abscess or collection of pus filled fluid in your breasts. You will need to perform hot compresses using towels and then massage your breasts 5-7 times a day to release milk. Your milk is piling up and needs to be expressed and released. You will need to visit a gynecologist who can examine you and refer you if need be for draining of abscess with suitable antibiotics. Excessive panadol isn't recommended either.
