Food Poisoning

My brother has been experiencing severe food poisoning and motions every 5 minutes. It is getting unbearable for him. My question is, can flagyl or imodium be taken urgently before going to the doctor?

Dear Patient,

Yes, there are many medications you can take before considering going to a doc.
Have soft diets like khichri, yogurt and bananas, and ispaghol
Have biflor/enflor after every stool.
Have ORS 1 glass/stool at least t avoid dehydration.
Take tablet Flagyl 400mg thrice a day for five days.
If these don't help then yes you may visit a doctor.
