Gap between Stitches Area

Asked for Female, 34 years

I delivered my baby and right after 2 days I felt a gap between my stitches due to heavy lifting and it took in about 6 months to heal. I feel as if the gap is getting larger in area and it hurts a lot. I got it checked and the doctor says that I am suffering from some sort of an infection so she prescribed me u-flora. My question is that is this an alarming situation for me? Will this effect my next pregnancy?

Dear Patient,

Is it possible for you to attach a photo of the scar so we can assess the gap?
U-flora is a probiotic that boosts the good bacteria found normally in the body. I'm not sure what exactly your wound looks like but the healing process can be activated by this medication.
If this scar has some infection that can also be healed with antibiotics and has no future consequences. However, if this gap remains and grows then yes it may be a problem in the future.
