Gestational diabetes in Pregnancy

I am pregnant and in my second trimester, I was having unquenching thirst plus tingling feeling in my hands. After a test, I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. I am worried about how it is going to affect my baby health and delivery procedure. What should I do to tackle it?
