Headache and Eyesight

I'm sorry to hear that. I'm assuming it was a pupil dilator that is normally applied before testing eyes. What is unclear to me is the reason behind continuing this for a few days.
The medicine is a reversible drug which when clears from the eye (depending on its type/name/etc) will restore her eyesight. However, I would request you to ask the doctor again what medication he gave and what is the effect of continuing it for long? If the doctor doesn't want to discuss i would recommend a second opinion.
