Headaches

Salam My 6 years old nephew slipped on the floor today during rain and hit his head pretty hard.upper back side.he is eating playing and talking normally throughout the day but now he is complaining about headaches and that area is swollen.he said it hurts when we touch it. Do we need to see a doctor? Or its normal after the fall?

Dear Patient,

I'm sorry to hear about your nephew's fall. Did he vomit or had trouble keeping food down? Normally, after a fall it's best to keep an eye out for dizziness, vomiting, nausea or any signs of cognitive defect where the child seems disoriented.
Try not letting a child sleep for the first 4 hours after a fall. If any signs appear its best to see a specialist. I am listing some names in case you ever need them again.
