Heel Spur concern

I am suffering from Heel spur. It is usually very painful when I get up in the morning. I am not able to wear hard sole anymore and only wearing a soft sole for the last two months. I consulted with a general physician and he suggested an injection in my heel to cure the spur and follow some instructions later on. Should I wear some anti-inflammatory souls and take medicines with icing on daily basis. Is there anyone there to help advice some orthopedic specialist?

Dear Patient,

Yes you could try these remedies you suggested along with tablet naproxen twice a day for a week or so, if that doesn't help then you could try a steroid injection as well. in some cases, heel spurs are removed surgically but that is rare.
