Hernia in Pregnancy

Aoa. I am 7th month pregnant. I have a small soft bulging above the belly button. I go for the doc she said its hernia & nothing have to do with it during pregnancy. After pregnancy, it will b resolve by itself. Kindly tell me is it dangerous?

Dear Patient,

I'm sorry to hear that. That's great news that it's small enough to resolve itself. It's not dangerous itself, it's when the abdomen wall becomes weak and this can occur in women, during pregnancy, after c section etc but you can take an opinion from a general surgeon if the bulge grows or hurts or doesn't resolve after delivery.
