High blood pressure

Asked for Male, 61 years

My blood pressure is high. Can I reduce my blood pressure from 146/95 mmHg to normal, just with regular exercises? I started working out at the gym for an hour, both in the mornings as well as in the evenings, since the last two days. Do I still need to continue my medications?

Dear Patient,

What medications are you on? What dosage and strength of meds? How long have you had high bp since?
A good plan would be to continue taking meds till your doc weans you off
Meanwhile, building strong physical health- eat less/almost no salt; drink ample water; take foods rich in omega three; avoid foods with lots of oil and spice; before and after starting workout do 10-20mins warm up each time; quit any smoking or similar habits; practice meditation/yoga to reduce stress. After continued 3 months of this at least consult with your doctor about meds.
