High creatinine level

Asked for Male, 59 years

My father has diabetes since 2004. Recently his creatinine blood test revealed elevated creatinine in his body. Any suggestions on how to reduce creatinine level as I am worried it might further damage his kidney?

Dear Patient,

How high are the levels? When something affects the kidneys the creatinine levels rise to mark that injury. A nephrologist can guide you well on what that harmful thing is in your father's case. however, the levels should not continuously rise or rise fast. We wish him a speedy recovery. Kindly find a good nephrologist from our main page.
