Injection in Pregnancy

I've heard that Dexamethasone injection can cause reduced liquor levels and I'm experiencing as well even though cervix is closed and there isn't any leakage. My dr gave me 2 shots of dexamethasone at 31 weeks. I didn't know why she anticipated delivery so early that she gave me 2 shots at 31 weeks.

If you received them your doctor may have felt there's a threat of early delivery? Have you had premature labor in the past?
