Iron Supplement

My 3-year-old kid gets tired after little play. He takes his meals properly Alhamdulillah. Can any pediatrician guide me if I can give him an iron supplement?

Dear Patient,

YES Sure. I can recommend you to first deworm him using Syrup Vermox 100/5. Give 5ml of this twice a day for three days and then stop. Repeat this dose every 6mths as kids play in the sand and are prone to getting worms which can make them anemic and weak. After this you can start with syrup maltofer course as 5ml once a day daily for 6 weeks- this is an iron supplement.
