Is Mobitz 1 Type 1 progressive condition

Asked for Female, 46 years

Hi, I am female 40 yes old and I have Mobitz Type 1 AV block in my heart. I would like to know if this condition is progressive and Type 1 can become Type 2 over the course of years.

Dear Patient,

I'm so sorry to hear this. When you read about mobitz type 1 you will come across the word “progressive' which can be alarming or scary. The disease itself is not progressive and has a better outcome than other forms of heart block, but the pattern on ECG is “progressive' (something for your doctor to know, not you :))
Hopefully this helps clarify your worries.
