ITP Problem

Asking for my boy 5 years old. He was diagnosed with ITP a year and a half ago. He started to have nightmares because of several times blood test. I want to know whether the antidepressant medicines can complications about his ITP or not?

Dear Patient,

It depends on which medicines he is taking for ITP and depression. It would be better to use support from counseling/therapy along with medication for depression. Only give your child antidepressants once he's been tested by a psychiatrist and DIAGNOSED with depression.
