Some questions being a new mom 1. I m living in lahore and season is changing here. So the question is wearing one sweater is enough for 3 months old or according to some expert mommies from family, i have to make my kid an astronaut? 2. Can I take my baby for a walk during day time i mean 12 to 3 during sun? (Asking because of smog) 3. Usually i give him shower on alternate days but now everyone is saying this is the reason behind his cough and cold. Is this true?

Dear Patient,

1. The rule of thumb is the child should wear a layer more than you. If you wear two he needs to wear three layers. If its not so cold as yet a vest is enough. I would also advise to cover his head.
2. If the weather is clear you can take him. If the smog is a lot you can avoid it, or try taking him if you feel hes not able to handle it then bring him back.
3. Alternate day or every 2 dys with sponging in between is good and hygeinic. Keep the room warm when u have him naked, give him little yakhni, boiled egg after bath.
