Legs aren't moving

Asked for Female, 32 years

Legs arent working after epidural given during rectum surgery. Epidural was given on Tuesday and removed on Thursday. Toes are moving but leg isn't lifting in air. Not being able to stand/walk at all. Doctors say that this is not the case for neurologist and the effect will wear off soon. What can we do to ensure that this happens asap? Will drinking a lot of water help?

Dear Patient,

Although this is not our area of expertise and we strongly recommend seeing a medical specialist/anesthesiologist/neurosurgeon however we believe this is a rare side effect and will slowly wear off itself.
You should take your Cac 1000 tablets once/day and also test your vitamin D and b12 levels (write back to us with a photo of the report). Have fruits veggies, dairy products and an egg a day. Have lots of water and you could even do icing of your back and ask your doctor abt the need for physiotherapy.

For further help, we recommend checking with one of the
best medical specialists in Karachi and seek a piece of in-person advice at https://oladoc.com/pakistan/karachi/medical-specialist
