Lose Motions

Hi, my 4 months 5 days old girl is having to lose motions after changing her formula milk Enfamil AR to Morinaga bf 1 from last two days. There is some blood in her motions and did 7 times a day. Motions are not totally watery but too much loose and she is having rashes for that I'm using rashnil. Am worried what should I do?

Dear Patient,
First of all switch back to the milk that suited her until she gets better. This brand of new milk is not suiting her. Give a tsp or two of Pedialyte if she isn't taking feeds enough or is dehydrated. Dehydration would make her tongue dry, her skull may have an obvious dip that wasn't there before, she may seem inactive- if so then kindly rush to the nearest hospital.Next time you see blood in her stool rush to the nearest pediatrician without changing her diaper so the doc can decide if stool culture is needed.
