Loss of Apetite

My 1.8 yo daughter has suddenly stopped eating anything at all from 1 week. Before that she was taking everything Dalia, rice, potatoes, banana and was taking egg too. What to do now. I tried force feeding but I fear she will refuse altogether as she doesn’t even force feed. She takes top feed in the night three times between 9:00 p.m. to 6;30 a.m. and during the day she takes 7oz twice. Her night feed increased when she refused to eat. Solutions and what behavioral tips I can use.

Dear Patient,

I'm sorry to hear that. Your child is consuming too much milk for her age and if she will have milk as backup will she ever want to eat regular food again? You will need to be determined and only give her milk maximum twice at night only, no day time milk feeding. Once the child goes hungry for a few days they will try to eat little by little. Try asking her if her throat is hurting, sometimes kids leave food due to pain from infection or teething, explore the reason behind her sudden lack of interest in food and tackle it.
