Medication Advice

Asked for Male, 31 years

I am having sore throat and fever on and off from last 3-4 days, before that i had asthma so now i have congestion too. My doctor advised me to take brufen, erythrocin and montiget, but these medicines are making no difference, for brufen is working for the instant releif but after 5 - 6 hours i again go through the same. Please advice should i change the medicines?

Dear Patient,

You are taking pain killers, anti allergy and antibiotics. These should help you. Do not change them. Instead kindly take hot fluids like yakhni joshanda, gargle three times/dy and take steam three times a day. Avoid cold and sour foods. Increase your water intake. Kindly avoid any smoke, cigarettes and dust. Wear mask if needed. You should feel better soon if you take these precatuions. If no improvement, perform a chest Xray and follow up wih medical specialist with reports.
