Medication Problem

My mother has a medical history of high blood pressure and extreme muscle and bones pain. Some days she can’t even. She slipped through stares few months back n got inside injuries. We got her physiotherapy sessions and now she is able to stand again. But, since a few days she has been feeling weak and consistent pain in legs. She takes medicines and when leaves using them the pain comes back again. I wanted to ask If BP tablets are okay to use in this condition?

Dear Patient,

The bp medication shouldn't be discontinued. Pain can increase bp and high bp can reduce tolerance to pain. Her issues are orthopedic and she will need a consult. Stopping bp medicines will have a negative effect on her overall health & bp.
