Mild Flu and Cough

Kindly suggest what should I do as my baby is under one year and he has mild flu and dry cough .. is it possible due to teething process? Should i consult dr or wait as many people said wait for three days to start medication for flu.Which remedy or precaution i can take to avoid severe flueor consult dr at this satge? Jazak ALLAH

Dear Patient,
Yes you can wait 2-3 days before seeing a specialist. Most are viral and go away themselves.
You can put humidifier on in his room when he sleeps, put 2 drops norsaline nasal drops in each nose before every feed . Collect steam in a small bathroom or room n sit there with him for 10-15mins.
Apply slightly warm mustard oil on his chest, back and soles before bed and keep these areas warm. If hes having foods and is above 8months you can give yakhni.
