Ovarian Cyst

I am suffering from a complex right ovarian cyst of 5.6 x 3.7 cm. My question is what precautions are to be taken after cystectomy? Will the doctor put me on hormone therapy after the surgery?

Dear Patient,

After the ovarian cyst has been removed, you'll feel pain in your tummy, although this should improve in a day or two. Following laparoscopic surgery, you'll probably need to take things easy for two weeks. Recovery after a laparotomy usually takes longer, possibly around six to eight weeks
hormone therapy may be given depending on your own hormonal levels and type of cyst and will be short course perhaps.
