Pain in Back

I am male 37 years old. A week ago I suffered from pain in my back just below the ribs. I took painkillers which make the pain go but as I stop using them the pain comes back. What could be the cause of this? Please guide.

Dear Patient,

Your pain could be due to muscular spasm, poor posture while sitting or when lifting weights, etc.

It would be best to use good support when sitting, to lift heavy objects without bending over, squatting instead. Try doing warm compresses to the affected parts and slowly stretch it then apply Voltral gel to this area twice a day. If the pain isn't relieved permanently, you should see an orthopedic specialist.
