Pain in Heels

My 9 year old son started complaining of pain in his heel about 2 days back. The next day he told me his left hand is also hurting. Today when he woke up he said my right hand has also started hurting. And now since evening, he is saying the pain has spread to wrists, then arms, then elbow joint gradually. And just now he came and told me he has pain starting in his knees too. Can someone guide me, what is causing the pains? Is it some vitamin deficiency? Should we see his doctor?

Dear Patient,

I'm sorry to hear that. This most definitely could be also in part due to vitamin D deficiency but multiple joints hurting like this is slightly alarming. Either he just noticed this in past two days and it's been happening mildly or this is concerning. Is there any swelling or redness on these joints or any stiffness in the day?
I would recommend to meet a rheumatologist once if there are any of the above symptoms and get his blood vitamin D levels tested too (vitamin D Deficiency is extremely common in Pakistan so even if it's low consulting a rheumatologist for his aches even if it settles down)
