Pain in Knee

Posting on behalf of my friend. She slipped on tiles around 2 months back and had pain in the right knee since then. She didn't go to the doctor. She feels pain while walking or climbing stairs or even sitting down. So I made her go to a doctor. The doctor diagnosed it as miniscal injury and asked her to rest. But she cannot rest as she is the mother of an infant. So now her pain has increased even further. She got fresh x-ray. Dear Doctors need your advice on it.

Thank you for your query. Although I do not see any obvious injury or fractures it may be due to a photo of the x-ray rather than x-ray itself.i would recommend she see an orthopedic. If it is a meniscal tear (we cannot be sure without examining her) then only rest or later surgery can improve it. Having cartigen tablets can even help once daily. However, immobilization is key.
