PCOS Problem

My friend had PCOS. One night she went to the hospital due to sudden pain and immediately got operated as there was a cyst in her ovary that could burst. Now, she only has one ovary that is also slightly damaged. Due to which her mensturation cycle is irregular and has no fixed date. Later she got married and now has trouble getting pregnant. My question is, what can be the actual problem?

Does her other ovary have PCOS too? Having PCOS reduces chances of conceiving generally.
Each ovary takes turns every mth to release an egg in a normal healthy woman, when 1 tube is lost then you release an egg even alternate mth. There may be a decrease in the chance of pregnancy. But there are really good fertility specialists out there who can help you conceive regardless of these drawbacks. Plz, connect your friend with a few.
