Pediasure

Does pediasure causes kid to be hyper? I give my son two scoops in fresh milk. But, recently I am getting complaints from school that he is getting too hyper and doesn’t sit at one place. I have already cut down his cookie and chocolate intake. What else should I do?

Dear Patient,

Its highly unlikely that pediasure is causing hyperactivity but something could be. If you feel its pediasure then try giving pediasure at night and give plain milk or milk with honey in the morning. Alternatively, try another food item like egg, etc.
If this doesn't help considers asking a child psychologist what could be the reason for this. Sometimes normal children feel restless due to something they are unable to express, a specialist can help you figure it out better so you can reach out to your child and find out the reason.
