Pinching sensation

My father had bypass surgery on 21st of June and he has stitches on his left leg. At the end of the stich, he is feeling a pinching sensation, which is making him uncomfortable and he is not able to move, sit or lie down in any position. Also, his left foot is a little swollen too

Dear Patient,

I'm sorry to hear that. When did the swelling start? Is it swollen since surgery or is it recent? Try soaking his feet in warm water for 10mins daily and elevate his feet on a pillow at bedtime. If swelling is recent/increases in size or he has a fever then consult a general physician immediately
As for itchiness, it is due to the healing process, he can apply mycitracin ointment to that area for quicker relief.
