I lost my frst baby last month on 9th of march. My gyne told me to visit her if period didn't start on 9th of april. My expcted date date was 16 according to period tracker but its 22 tody still period didn't start. In ths period I have checked twice my strip test is neg. I'm having symptoms like chest tenderness, backache increase heartbeat while climbing stairs. Should I go for beta hcg or still wait

Dear Patient,

When your gynecologist asked you to visit her if periods are late, why haven't you? A few days late is normal especially when the body is recovering, furthermore, your symptoms of tenderness, etc indicate your body may be preparing itself to bleed soon enough. A beta hcg is not needed at this point. Wait a week. Though I would advise you to give a call to your doc and notify her, she can call you in to see you if she thinks it's needed.
