Severe Itching

I need advice from a doctor for severe itching on hands palm and feet sole in 35 weeks of pregnancy. I'm HCV + also. Is it normal or something dangerous to be discussed with my doctor?

Dear Patient,

This is usually cholestasis if pregnancy. Knowing you are HCV positive further confirms it that due to high levels of bilirubin you have excessive itching. The itching isn't dangerous but HCV is. Kindly seek treatment if not already under treatment and hydrate a lot. I would suggest to repeat your LFTs and also consult a hepatologist.
