Shower in Fever

Asa, Is it good to give a shower to kids having temperature in summers? Some say not to give, they will catch a cold, few believe that its good & helps in decreasing temperature. I myself believe in the later one.

Dear Patient,

Yes, it's good to give showers in high-grade fever. However you've to take care to dry their hair immediately and put their usual clothes on right after the shower so that the chest isn't exposed to air, you can also rub a little amount of oil on chest.
The immunity is weak when a child has a fever and maybe that's why some kids experience cold at times but it has nothing to do with showers, you've to be careful that's all.
