Swelling in legs

My 92 yr. old mother has very swollen legs; she’s taking medication to reduce swelling; however, today she noticed that her legs are oozing a lot of fluid-to the point that her legs got very wet.What can this mean and is it a dangerous symptom?

What color was the fluid? What is the disease or condition causing this swelling? What other illnesses does she suffer from? Is it possible for you to attach a photo of her leg and the oozing fluid? Before I can help you further it would be helpful if you could answer these questions.
Meanwhile, raise her legs using a pillow or two above the level of her heart as much as possible. Hydrate her generously. Can you share the name of her medications?
