Thyroid Problem

Last year my TSH value is 7.0, after that, I take thyroxin for 2 months so my TSH value comes to 2.3 UI/ml so doctor stop thyroxin, I neglected the neck size that time my neck size increased from 15 to 16... I am a part-time teacher also, so when I teach my throat gets tired by speaking too much. What to do now?

Dear Patient,

I'm so sorry to hear that. Lifestyle changes can be done. Due to thyroid pressing on your throat, pain is expected after lying down or talking. If possible try changing your role at the school where less talking is involved.
You can try talking softly. Gargle daily before and after class with lukewarm water and salt to soothe your throat. Also changing your speech technique will help, a speech therapist/ent can help with such things.
