My son is 8 years old and he is under height I have consulted the family physician according to him he is active and ok -actually we both parent are also short height i.e. I am 5. 5 and my wife is 5 - need some doctor's advise what to do?

Dear Patient,

I'm sorry to hear that. You can give your child supplemental milk like pediasure, give him 1tsp syrup vidalyn daily. Give him energy-rich foods like date and banana shakes and two eggs daily. Increase his intake of fruits and vegetables esp raw ones and decrease his intake of candies and junk food. Give him nuts and seeds to snack on and encourage him to swim and play basketball as these are ways to build muscle and strength over time.
