Usage of Emkit

Asked for Female, 32 years

My period suddenly stopped. I have done a pregnancy strip test as well as the HCG test and both are negative. I have consulted the gynecologist and she said to take Emkit and also said that the period will come within a week. I started doing it but still I have got no periods yet. Why is it happening and why did she give me an Emkit? What should I do now?

Emkit is usually used as an emergency contraceptive pill usually used when you wish to avoid pregnancy after unprotected sex. It contains hormones normally found in the body, high dose of which initiates menstrual bleed.
