Prof. Amer Sabih Hydri Share Profile

Brigadier (R), Professor Amer Sabih Hydri has almost 3 decades of experience as an ENT specialist in the Army and Navy. He acquired his Post Graduate Diploma in Laryngo-otology (PGDLO) from Armed Forces Post Graduate Medical Institute (AFPGMI) and is a Member (MCPS) and Fellow (FCPS) of CPSP.

Academic Recognition: His academic predilection is mirrored by the fact that there are 29 International and locally published articles/ case reports to his credit. Hydri has presented papers in 7 National ENT conferences. He is a supervisor of MCPS/FCPS part II trainees and is also an examiner at CPSP. He also has the honour of being a Reviewer for 3 Local and 3 International Medical Journals. Another distinction of Dr Hydri is that MCQs prepared by him have been accepted for Licensing exam by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. He has a distinct honour of serving on the faculties of medical colleges of all three services i.e., Army medical College, Bahria University Medical college and Fazaia Medical college.

Services Offered:
He has a special interest in Cosmetic Rhinoplasty (Nose Job); Phono-surgery (Surgery for Improving voice) and Broncho-Oesophagology. Hearing assessment and speech therapy along-with routine ENT treatment are also offered.
Personal Innovation:
He has devised a novel method of modifying an endotracheal tube into a long tracheostomy tube for airway emergencies in Obese patients. This has been published in an International Medical Journal.
