Dr. Saad Khalid Niaz is one of the most prominent Gastroenterologists and is internationally
recognized and praised as one of the best. He has over 32 years of practice in his field and has
been awarded the Civil Award of Sitara-e-Imtiaz. A group of physicians have previously
gathered at Surgical Conference Hall at JPMC to praise him for his contributions and
achievements in his line of work.
Qualifications
Dr. Saad Khalid Niaz has received many qualifications in an attempt to perfect his qualifications.
He has completed his MBBS from Dow Medical College, his MRCP from the UK and his FRCP.
He has furthermore been rewarded with his CCST (Medicine) and CCST (Gastroenterology). He
is a member of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).
Experience
Dr. Saad Khalid Niaz has over 3 decades of experience in his field. He is currently offering
consultations at both South City Hospital and Medilink Consultants Clinic. He has also
previously worked at Civil Hospital Karachi.
Activism
Dr. Saad Khalid Niaz has spent a considerable amount of career raising awareness about
health concerns that the public should be cautious about. He is quoted to have said that
Hepatitis B is so common that every 12 th patient in Pakistan probably has it and has also set up
testing camps to test for hepatitis. In a video interview he spoke about how hepatitis C is now a
widely curable disease due to the improvements in treatment, and that the current treatments do
not have side effects and do not cause pain or harm to patients. Other than this, he has also
treated many patients free of cost.
Special Interests
Dr. Saad Khalid Niaz in making sure that all those who need help medically receive the help
they need. He has praised his father for instilling this helping nature in him. He also has an
interest in performing ERCPs and performs hundreds every year.
